European Federation for Medicinal Chemistry EFMC Awards 2006 The EFMC confers every two years three awards including: - the W.Th.Nauta Award on Pharmacochemistry, established by the Dutch Foundation "Stichting Prof. Dr.W.Th. Nauta Fonds", - the UCB Award for Excellence in Medicinal Chemistry, established by UCB S.A. and - the Prous Award in New Technologies in Drug Discovery, established by Prous Science S.A. Each award consists of a diploma, 7.500 euros and an invitation for a lecture by the Award recipient at the upcoming EFMC-ISMC International Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry to be held in Istanbul, Turkey on August 29 - September 2, 2006. Nominations for the Awards should consist of a letter proposing the candidate, a brief biographical sketch with a list of selected publications, and two supporting letters. EFMC Administrative Secretariat IUPAC-Richter Prize on Medicinal Chemistry http://www.iupac.org/news/Richter_prize.html The IUPAC-Richter Prize in Medicinal Chemistry was established by a generous gift from the Chemical Works of Gedeon Richter, Ltd. (Budapest, Hungary) to acknowledge the key role that medicinal chemistry plays in improving human health.
